The game stucks and shows errors after mission 6. Why?

DeleteThought I would try this download....it runs fine, but with some odd glitches. So far I've noticed that I can not see any of the red balloons, which are collectible items. I know of the location of several from watching a video, but they are not present in my download. Another thing I notice is that there seems to be a system of your character improving skills, similar to how it worked in San Andreas, but when I see a notification about my character improving it says "Stat missing" and then shows a bar graph indicating the upgrade. No big deal there, but not being able to get the red balloons means getting 100% completion in the game is not possible.
